We Light The Darkness
Rawshan Welfare Trust, established in 2017, empowers communities through grassroots advocacy and direct action in healthcare, education, and housing. Though our name has evolved from Rawshan Dot Org, & Rawshan Foundation, our unwavering mission remains to ensure equitable opportunities for all. We are currently in the process of registering as a formal UK non-profit organization.Vision: A world where social and economic barriers are removed, ensuring every individual has the equitable foundation of health, education, and housing needed to lead a life of dignity.Mission: To provide direct relief and sustainable empowerment to underserved communities through grassroots advocacy, educational initiatives, and healthcare support, bridging the gap between systemic inequality and human potential.
The Azim Sharif Memorial is a 6-week summer table tennis tournament at Royal Girls School in Droitwich Spa, Worcester. A collaborative effort by the Bromsgrove Rotary Club, Droitwich Spa community table tennis club, and the Rawshan Welfare Trust, the event has been a staple of the Worcestershire summer sports calendar since 2022.

The Azim Sharif Rawshan Ara Orphanage & Hifz-Khana is a cornerstone project of the Rawshan Welfare Trust, dedicated to providing a nurturing home and a comprehensive spiritual education for orphaned and underprivileged children.By combining traditional Hifz (Quranic memorization) with modern care, the institution ensures that students are empowered with both religious knowledge and the personal support needed to thrive.Key Features of the Institution
Holistic Care: Beyond providing food and shelter, the orphanage focuses on the emotional and physical well-being of every child, creating a family-like environment.Spiritual Excellence: The Hifz-Khana provides specialized training for students to master the memorization of the Holy Quran under the guidance of qualified scholars.A Living Legacy: Named in honor of Azim Sharif and Rawshan Ara, the institution serves as a Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity), embodying their commitment to community service and the support of the vulnerable.Empowerment: The program is designed to build character and discipline, preparing students to become future leaders and contributing members of society."Our mission is to transform the lives of these children by offering a sanctuary of learning and love, ensuring their future is defined by opportunity rather than hardship."

At Rawshan Welfare Trust, we believe that financial hardship should never be a barrier to a child’s potential. Since our founding in 2017, education has been at the heart of our mission. Our Education Scholarship Program is designed to identify bright, underprivileged students and provide them with the financial stability they need to remain in school and excel. Our Scholarship Philosophy:Equity over Scarcity: We provide tuition fees, uniforms, and textbooks to ensure students from the most vulnerable backgrounds can stand on equal footing with their peers.Merit & Need-Based Support: We prioritize students who demonstrate a passion for learning but lack the resources to continue their academic journey.Beyond the Classroom: Our scholarships don’t just pay for school; they invest in the future leaders, teachers, and professionals of tomorrow.

Our commitment to grassroots advocacy

We have several other projects, such as tree plantation & distribution with Sonarong-Taruchaya, Emergency Relief distribution with Shelter Box, Rotary Club of Bromsgrove, Red Crescent Youth, Chattogram, Pudina Express & UK94, Sewing machine distribution with Rotary Club of Anderkilla, and Sanitation project with Rotary Club of Uttara. We have a free Islamic publication, "Amal-E-Jindegi," which helps muslim pilgrims to perform their prayers in the right way. We are in the process of making it a mobile app.
Your generosity today fuels both of these vital pillars. Whether you are supporting a local athlete in Worcestershire or an orphan’s education, you are making a tangible difference.
At Rawshan Welfare Trust, we believe that compassion knows no borders. Whether it’s fostering community spirit through sport in the UK or providing a sanctuary for orphans abroad, our mission remains the same: Empowerment through Action.Today, we invite you to be a part of our mission. Together, we can turn grassroots advocacy into global impact.
